Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand as well as a mixed martial arts artist, currently competing with the Flyweight Division within the UFC. Shevchenko is the elder sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's improved strike technique permitted her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. After this win, Antonina signed a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first bout. Antonina recovered from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the 2nd round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this match. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, however she lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
